We left four days before our February checkout after a 28-day booking. Our neighbors were leaving two weeks early. This place may have been 5 Star when it was built, but poor maintenance has taken a serious toll. The road to the casitas was sketchy and went through a garbage dump, which made for an uncomfortable drive. We had to clean our casita before unpacking. The bathrooms were filthy, and I had to clear the shower head with a needle. A stuck toilet plunger drained the supply tanks, leaving us without water until the next afternoon. Pressure fluctuated, and it took a long time to get warm water. The fridge stopped working and food spoiled, though the owners knew it wasn’t working properly. The door handle fell off. We were charged $ for saran wrap, tin foil and toilet bowl cleaner.??? The pool was ice cold, the hot tub had no water and didn’t work, and the concrete around the pool was crumbling. The cover had holes in it. Laundry machines in the large, cluttered garage were grimy. The once beautiful BBQ area, with its smoker, pizza oven and giant stainless steel BBQ, was a shambles: pizza oven utensils were rusted, the BBQ handle was greasy, and everything was dusty. The caretakers’ dogs barked relentlessly. Website photos are inaccurate. The palms are dead, and so is this place!
