I expected a much better stay and was really disappointed. They put me in the wrong room: I’d booked a quadruple but got a single. The rooms weren’t clean, either. I found a cookie in a drawer, and a cockroach came out of it. One of the sinks didn’t work as well. I definitely won’t be coming back.

It’s a small boutique hotel with just 10 rooms, but it’s very comfortable and right on the beach. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the bed is extremely comfortable, and everything looks modern and clean. The surf is all you hear, which is soothing, though with shipping lanes and docks nearby, the ocean may not be the best for swimming. A terrace room gives you a great bay view and spectacular sunsets. Otherwise, the infinity pool and deck chairs are a lovely place to take it all in. There are plenty of places to eat within a 10 minute drive or 30 minute walk, and In Situ/Alatriste, the hotel restaurant, also offers room service.

A cozy little hotel, and the cute pool is a real plus since the water doesn’t have too much chlorine. It could be much better with a public bar, some comfortable beach chairs, at least a few bottles of drinking water in the bathroom, and a small fridge in the room.
