Hotel Costa Bugambilias

We liked being able to keep flexible hours, and there was plenty of room to eat. The pool had water, too. The staff were really friendly and always willing to help. I was surprised by the room and facilities, since reviews had left me doubtful and we had only planned one night. The building is obviously being renovated, and it has its good and bad sides, but we ended up renting for the whole week and it worked out very well. Our room, beds, and sheets were in good condition, with no issues like broken light switches. For the price, I'd recommend it.

The pool was empty, and I've stayed in places in much better condition. The beds at least didn't have bedbugs, which was the one thing I appreciated. The reception on Audiencia Street looks nice, but the rooms feel like a run-down neighborhood where you worry gangs or the police could raid at any moment. When I told them upfront I didn't like what I got, they refused to refund me. Honest businesses would give your money back.

We got there late at night and were told rooms were available. The first one felt abandoned, with no security or light switch, like construction was still going on. They moved us to another room, and the photos I'm including are of that second room.

The hotel is still growing and has a lot it could improve.
