For the price, this is the best place in town. Get a ground-floor oceanfront room and you'll feel like you've arrived in heaven. It's a five-star experience, even though the facility itself isn't five-star. The furnishings are medium quality, but the pool is clean and they treat you like a VIP. With the beach just a few feet away, it's fantastic value.
It’s tucked a little off the beaten path, though still right in the Golden Zone. This is one of the few small beach resorts left, with little condo units. People book more than a year ahead, and I can see why. The rates are good and the staff are really friendly.
It’s a comfortable, quiet place for a family holiday. The motel has been family-run for more than 40 years, and they also coordinate with the nearby Lindamar Suites.
The Marley Hotel is our little secret, set between the ocean and the high rises. It’s one of the last two-story oceanfront hotels, and we love watching the sunsets there. I love Mazatlán, from old town to the Golden Zone, with everything from dining, sightseeing, and shopping to the shrimp market, the old town open market, Walmart, and those new high-rise condos. Such a mix of old and new.
It’s an older place, but it’s kept up well and exceptionally clean.
