Really lovely staff, a great pool area, and nice rooms with personal touches. Breakfast was excellent too. We had an amazing stay!

The breakfast changes each day and is freshly cooked, not the usual continental spread. It’s served from 8a - 10a, and I’d highly recommend it. The hotel is on a quiet street near the city center and sights, about a 10-15 minute walk from ADO station and close to Parque Santiago, where there’s dancing on Tues nights. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed, good blackout shades, WiFi, a safe, and nice eco-friendly bathroom products. Rooms along the hallway can get morning noise from the nearby dining area. Service was professional and knowledgeable. Well-kept place, and I’d return.

I’m back for a second year because the service is lovely and the setting is quiet. The pool is super refreshing, and the rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. A real gem.

We spent 5 nights here in March, and Hotel Zamna was a great base in central Mérida. Plaza Grande and Pasaje de Montejo are walkable, with plenty of good cafes and restaurants close by. The included breakfast had a nice range, including mango, papaya, zapote, and milk fruit (caimito). They varied things during our stay, which I appreciated. There’s also a shared kitchen open 24 hours for coffee, tea, water, ice, and toast. The pool was clean and lovely, a welcome thing in Merida’s heat. Our first-floor room, number 23, had what a traveller needs, though more hanging space or shelves for clothes would help. The A/C worked well, the neighborhood was quiet and we slept well. I also loved the skylight in the bathroom, it gave it an outdoor feel. Staff were always smiling and very nice. For day trips to Progreso by bus, you can ask the driver to let you off a couple blocks from the hotel on the way back.

Diana at reception and Jesus were wonderful hosts, and the staff made us feel so welcome. We loved the included breakfast, especially the fresh fruit each day, and there were plenty of choices plus an espresso machine and coffee available 24 hours. They were also accommodating with dietary needs. In June, the pool and grounds were peaceful and quiet, and the air conditioning and pool were great for cooling off. The property has beautiful native trees and plants, with signs that explain them to visitors. We loved our stay at Hotel Zamná and hope to come back.
