Maria, the housekeeper, and Pedro were both friendly and happy to help. The room was clean, and the place is about 2.3 miles from the centro histórico. A nice spot to stay.

This was my first time booking here, and I'd happily recommend it. Everyone was really friendly, and sorting things out over WhatsApp was easy. Breakfast is served from 8-10 in the morning, and the AC in every room is a real help in Merida's heat.

The room was fine, and the à la carte breakfast tasted good. Just be aware the servings are quite small, and you only get one drink with breakfast, so choose between coffee and juice.

We were a family of four and felt welcome and safe at Downtown Hotel. Maria looked after us so well, even making special food for our baby, bringing extra towels, and washing our dishes for us. We also appreciated the hammock in the room and being able to use the refrigerator for free. They followed COVID precautions too, with masks, hand gel, and cleaned surfaces. A quiet, comfortable place to stay in Merida.
