It's an okay place for a few days, with some room to improve. The hostel is fairly central, around 10 minutes from the main ADO station and near the main tourist areas. It's small and a bit cramped. I stayed in a six-bed dorm with a fan. Given how humid it is, AC would help a lot. I woke up drenched in sweat every morning. Renovations were underway, so things felt rough around the edges, though upgrades have to happen. People who'd stayed before said the garden is lovely once it's finished. Rafa was helpful, friendly, and a good source of information. He also makes breakfast. One thing I found annoying is that you can't enter or leave by yourself. Only Rafa or his assistant has the key to the main door. I don't like having to be let out; it made me feel like I was 10 again. I can't see why Rafa doesn't get keys made, which would probably make things easier for him too.
