The location made it easy to get to the main plazas, just a few minutes away, and the hotel feels newly done. Our room was lovely, with good sheets and towels. Staff were kind and accommodating when I made a couple of small requests. Still, over our week and a half there, the noise stood out, especially on weekend nights. Light sleepers should bring earplugs and maybe use a white-noise app. I didn't like that cleaning seemed compulsory since there was no “do not disturb” sign. Some days they just straightened the sheets, other days they changed them, and once there were no hand towels until I asked reception. The bathroom had only one towel hook. There was no coffee maker or kettle, fridge, or hair dryer. Reception staff often sat on the couch, and at times nobody was at the desk.

After nearly a week on the coast, my husband and I spent a couple of nights here. The hotel isn't luxurious, but it was very clean, with modern rooms and a big shower with great hot water. We really enjoyed it. The location was excellent too, close to Plaza Grande and plenty of restaurants.

The room was filthy when I arrived. The floor felt sticky and had lots of hair on it, and the shower and bathroom looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I politely asked reception to have it cleaned while I worked at a coffee shop. Three hours later, they assured me it was done, but when I returned, nothing had been cleaned. I went down to speak with the “manager,” who was rude. I decided to cancel and move to another hotel. After we argued for a while over the refund, she finally agreed. I said I'd go upstairs to pack, then less than five minutes later she called my room, yelling that I had exactly four minutes to leave or they would charge me again. It was a terrible experience. The management, customer service, and handling of problems were awful. The hotel was dirty, the elevator didn't work, and the staff were extremely rude. I wouldn't recommend it.

The price and location are great, and the hotel is nice enough. But I'm pretty sure someone here used my card details to buy $500CAD worth of calling cards before I managed to lock the card. It was a new card, and I'd only used it at one other hotel, so I can't prove it for certain. I still strongly suspect it happened here.
