Hotel Plaza by Kavia

The design is modern and the location is great, but the stay was terrible. We went three days without hot water, had no electricity for one day, and on our last day the elevators stopped working. The staff didn’t seem to know anything. When I asked when the elevator would be fixed, they just said they were working on it, though clearly nobody was addressing the situation. That was their answer to every problem. The pool was a disgusting color, and I definitely wouldn’t get in. Don’t stay here!

The rooms are spacious, clean, and nice. The staff are very outgoing, and the Wi-Fi has worked well so far.

The location and modern design are the only good parts. I’d strongly suggest staying somewhere else. If you get a top-floor room, there’s a fan on the roof that hums loudly and annoyingly. It stops at 10 pm but starts again at 7 am and wakes you up. The rooms don’t block much sound in general, so they’re pretty noisy. I arrived to find no towels. When I got some, they had big holes, and the only towel hanger came straight out of the wall when I put one on it. You get soap but there’s no holder, and nowhere to put a toothbrush or hand towel. The bed was comfortable enough, but the pillows and blanket were stained, and there was hair all over the floor. Most rooms have just one window facing the hallway, so the blinds have to stay shut if you don’t want people looking straight into your room. The shower sometimes only had lukewarm water and leaked across half the bathroom floor. The toilet seat wasn’t attached properly. Dead flies and leaves were in the pool, and they didn’t seem to get cleaned out regularly. There’s no care going into this place. A joke of a four-star hotel.

The location is the best part, just a short walk from most places. It’s cheap, and the bed was good. The room seemed decent at first, but a closer look showed everything felt half-done. Towels were worn and mismatched in size and type. The sink and shower barely had any pressure, and the shower sprayed water all over the room. The mirror and side tables had grey streaks, like they’d been wiped with a dirty cloth. You can hear people talking and walking in the hall because the doors don’t block the sound.
