Breakfast was supposed to start at 7, but it was at a different restaurant and didn't start until 8. They put us in downgraded rooms without windows. The rooms were all full of bugs. The bathrooms weren't maintained, the towels and walls were dirty, and the mattress was bad. Worst hotel of my stay in Mexico.

The upstairs rooms are passable and have plenty of space, but they're run down and not very clean. We were first offered Room101 downstairs. It has deafening road noise and a piece of cardboard where the bathroom window should be, so don't take it if you want to sleep. The staff didn't feel very welcoming or especially focused on hospitality. You can find better options in town if you go a few blocks away from the center.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location is right in the town center. But the rooms weren't very clean or modern. The sheets hadn't been changed when we arrived, and there were spots on the towels. For what we paid, we expected more.

The bed was soft and super comfortable, and the location was great. Inside, though, the place was really dilapidated. The paint was dirty and peeling, and looked like it hadn't been updated in ten years. I was in a ground-floor courtyard room that felt like a prison cell, with just one very tiny window.

The terrace is a sun trap, and it's nice to cool off in the suite's pool after relaxing out there. It's not really a pool, more like a jacuzzi without bubbles. Still, this is the best hotel I've stayed in so far in Mexico.
