Mi Ca-Sa really feels like a home away from home. It's exceptionally clean, perfectly located, and close to great restaurants. Nelson is a gold standard host, helpful, quick to respond, and fluent in English and German. The beds are comfortable, and the air conditioning works wonders for sleeping well as the temperatures rise. I highly recommend this gem in Merida.

Nelson made our stay easy from the start, arranging rides from the airport and later to the bus station, and helping with whatever came up, including medical questions and ideas for theaters and cultural events. After staying with hosts in 40 countries through Servas, I can say he was one of the best we've had in Mexico and among the best on our travels. The place felt quiet and safe, yet it's very close to the center and Paseo Montejo, with its museums, restaurants, shops, and attractions. I'm grateful we stayed here on my first visit to beautiful, European-style Merida.

Nelson really goes out of his way to make your stay better. The place is clean, and all the plants make it feel warm and homey. It's an easy walk to downtown Mérida and to good places for food and drinks. I stayed here while studying abroad last year and had a great experience. I'd recommend it for a short visit or a longer stay.

The courtyard became my favorite spot at Mi Ca-Sa, a comfortable place to eat and meet other guests. I was there for two and a half months for a mix of work and leisure, and it felt like home. The apartment had what I needed to cook, including a kitchen kept stocked with spices by Nelson, the manager and owner. I also appreciated the big bed and comfortable mattress, the walk-in shower, and the little patio, even if it was small and sometimes too hot to sit outside. Paseo de Montejo is just steps away, and Merida centro is about a ten-minute walk. I found the restaurants and bars on Paseo mostly pricey for very average food, but there were excellent places to eat and drink a few blocks west or south. I'd gladly stay at Mi Ca-Sa again on my next trip to Yucatan.

I spent six weeks in the two-bedroom apartment while taking a Spanish course at UNAM. It was a comfortable walk to the university and worked well for a longer stay. The neighborhood is quiet, with cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance and the busy downtown nearby. Nelson made sure the apartment had what I needed. It's well equipped, especially the kitchen, which has the appliances and utensils for an extended stay or having guests over.
