The reception staff seemed indifferent, and the toilet clogged. It was also a hassle to leave my ID just to borrow a hair dryer. There isn’t enough parking, it’s hard to get in and out, and the place is very loud. You get what you pay for.

We expected a proper hotel, but it felt more like a disappointing motel. The parking setup was strange, and people were making noise at the pool late at night. Breakfast was only toast, cereal, and coffee. I wouldn’t book here again.

The grounds were lovely, with plenty of sea-facing tables and chairs tucked between greenery and palapas, and I could eat while looking out at the sea. The pool was nice, the restrooms were good, and staff served throughout the property. I didn’t use the restaurant. It all felt thoughtfully arranged for privacy. I was staying in a fishing village nearby and bought a day pass to see what was included. It cost 250 pesos, with 150 credited toward food and drinks, which made it a fantastic deal. I went on a peaceful Wednesday. The service was excellent: the servers were friendly, attentive when needed, and clearly well trained. The food was high quality and delicious. My guacamole was fresh and seasoned just right. I also ordered one of the pricier dishes, octopus with vegetables and potato puree for 250 pesos, and it was worth the price. The two vodka cocktails were good too. Later I treated myself to the house flan, and I also had three sparkling waters and a Sprite during the day. The bill came to 750 pesos, or 600 after the 150 peso credit. With the tip, I spent 800 pesos, about $45 at the exchange rate that day. The pass also let me enjoy the extensive grounds.
