Hotel Boulevard Mexicali

The rooms were very clean, though the furniture isn’t new, and the location is good. The big problem is the Wi-Fi: it’s easy to connect, but the bandwidth is slower than a snail, so you’re better off using your own data. The other issue is the hotel’s proximity to a main Blvd. In the middle of the night you can hear big rigs driving by and using J-Brakes, which is really annoying. Maybe the hotel can’t do much about the noise, but the Wi-Fi could definitely be improved.

We needed a clean, comfortable place to sleep before continuing our trip, and this worked for the price. It’s a motel, but the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.

For the price, I expected less, but the room surprised me with how clean and comfortable it looked. It was a little small, but perfect since I was traveling alone. Parking is limited, and it was a bit noisy, though on the first night I realized the window was slightly open. A great place to stay for the price.

For six people, this was my first choice because the price was okay. We only needed a place for one night to sleep, shower, and leave, but several things caught me off guard. The rooms are insanely small, there’s only one AC outlet in the whole room and it’s hidden behind a bed, and a room with two double beds really should have more than two towels. It was noisy too, and there should be quiet hours so people can sleep. The parking lot can’t handle the number of guests. Two cars blocked me in and made it really hard to leave. There was only one sheet on each bed. I know Mexicali is famous for heat, but check your weather app, people, it was 11°C that night! I’m glad it was 21°C at most during my visit, or I would’ve gone insane. The Wi-Fi was okay and free. I’m not coming back. Maybe alone, but this isn’t a place to rest or bring your family.
