Casa Culhuac

I stayed in the room called Witsiling, and it was spotless, with excellent hot water and pressure. The common areas were clean and tidy, and there's a garage. Access from the street is by calling the host first. He was always available to open the door or help with any other request. Excellent service, highly recommended.

The rooms were clean, and everything was fine during the Booking.com booking process. But when we arrived, we waited more than an hour for someone to open the door. We kept calling the owner, but he didn't pick up, and we were only let in after that hour. The owner also wouldn't let us have the rooms, saying we hadn't booked a third one. We had booked three, and the reservation was confirmed. After we showed him the Booking.com reservations, he reluctantly gave us the rooms. Breakfast and meals cost extra. Confirm three times before you arrive to avoid this kind of situation.

The facilities are fine, you pay for yourself, and card payment is accepted. But I don't think it's right to call this a hotel when it feels like a hostel. You're sharing with other people, and you don't find that out until you're already inside. In our room, we saw what we think was a hidden camera in the bathroom, though it obviously wasn't working. I understand they want to protect their property, but we ended up getting dressed in the bathroom, worried there might be cameras there too. We wanted to use the jacuzzi, but they said they didn't know if it worked and told us to check for ourselves, and to go down to the laundry room to find the plug. 🙃

It's always a pleasure to stay here. The place is very quiet, the rooms are comfortable, and best of all, we can bring our pets. The service is excellent.
