Nido Roma Norte

I had to cancel unexpectedly at the last minute and asked to cancel my booking about 12 hours after making it. They refused, saying it was a busy weekend. I don’t follow the reasoning: wouldn’t a busy weekend make it easier to rebook? They also said I couldn’t get credit to use for different dates.

The apartment itself was lovely and in a great spot, but getting inside was a serious problem. The lock showed a low battery, so when we got back at 1 a.m. we couldn’t get in. Then we were locked out again the next day and had to wait hours for someone to fix it. Nobody could give us an arrival estimate, so we were stuck waiting around. If you need a dependable place, this isn’t it.

The area felt very safe, and we could walk to most places. The beds were comfortable, the apartment was clean, and the women on security were really helpful. But it was much smaller than the photos suggested, and the rooftop terrace turned out to be shared, even though the listing didn’t say so. I’d expected a private one. There was noise from car horns and people shouting outside at all hours. During our six nights, the two of us got only two towels each and one washcloth each. The iron cord barely reached the board beside the sink, which was the only outlet that worked for ironing. The regular shower broke, leaving only the handheld one for the last two days. We told maintenance three days before checkout, but nobody came, and showering was tough. There’s no dishwasher, either.

We had an amazing stay with our family of four. The staff were friendly, and we’ll be back.
