The neighborhood felt safe and had plenty of bars and places to eat or get a drink, though the activity brought some nighttime noise, so it may not suit very light sleepers. We stayed eight nights and really enjoyed it. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the products were nice. They checked every day whether we wanted the room cleaned, which worked well since we didn’t need daily service. The balcony was a lovely extra, and the security staff were very friendly. I’d recommend staying here! :)

We found three bedbugs in the bed after I woke around 4 a.m. with intense itching and rashes. I ended up with more than 15 bites. The front desk denied there had been previous problems, offered no help, and wouldn’t give us the manager’s contact details. We left early and had to find another hotel in the middle of the night, but Casa Raffaelo still charged us for both nights. There was no follow-up or refund. We had to cut our stay short because of the bedbugs. Terrible experience. Avoid this place.

They charged me twice for no reason, and I’d never come back. We also had no hot water, and nobody could sort it out. The people at the front desk were very nice older folks, but said they were only security and couldn’t help. I tried calling the numbers listed online over 30 times, and couldn’t get through to anyone.

The karaoke bar next door made it hard to sleep on weekends, especially with the thin walls. I also saw roaches in the bathroom. At check-in, the guard wouldn’t show me how to use the code for my room, which made getting in difficult throughout my stay. The receptionist or guard sleeps in the lobby at night. Since the doors are locked after a certain time and guests aren’t given a key, you have to wake the guard to get back inside. That was very inconvenient.
