Casa Wynwood Roma Norte

I booked an apartment with this CDMX property through booking.com in January 2025, but when I arrived, I couldn't get into my room. Wynwood had never sent me the four digit access code. It was midnight after a long travel day, so I had to find somewhere else to stay. The next day I spent time on the phone with the team, who made it difficult to get a refund. Eventually they said they would look into my case and give me a full refund. It's now April and I still haven't received it. Booking.com says they need written approval from Wynwood. I sent them my correspondence with the wynwood team, but still no refund. I've included the details in images. Thieves. Don't stay here or trust this place.

The apartments might be fine if they were maintained properly, but the upkeep was poor and they didn't seem to care about their tenants. I had to move three times. In the first apartment in Roma Norte, there was no hot water and the room and apartment smelled moldy. In the second, there were ants in my bed and, again, no hot water. The third had bed bugs. They did refund me, but that didn't make up for the miserable experience. I've included my conversation with them. They said they could move me only to another room if I paid more, since they didn't have the same apartment available at my original price. That was after I'd already spent money on taxis and wasted time moving three times. Save yourself, don't book. Their staff showed zero care for tenants.

You walk out the front door to cafes, bars, and shops, so the location is great. But if you're after more of a hotel experience, I wouldn't stay here. It feels more like an Airbnb. We didn't see anyone, including staff, during the whole trip. Noise made it hard to sleep, from the plants being watered automatically, creaky AC units, and music from next door.

The house has a wonderful design and the location is fantastic. Our room was spacious, and whenever we asked for something through WhatsApp, they accommodated us. We had working AC and water the whole stay, and despite it being a weekend, noise wasn't an issue, perhaps because our room was in the middle of the second floor. After reading reviews, we made sure to complete check-in before arriving so we’d have the entry code and directions to the room. That was easy. Cleanliness could have been better: the bathroom tiles were worn and stained, and it was dusty under the bed. The shower head was faulty, and the water pressure was weak. Still, it was good value and a decent option for a short stay.
