Centro CDMX, a 2 pasos del Templo Mayor

It's a cheap way to stay in the city, and the rooms have what you need. The shower gets warm and the beds are okay. But this isn't the nicest part of the center, and I didn't feel it was very safe. Be careful when going out, especially at night; going alone would feel scary. You can hear everything outside, so don't expect much sleep. There's no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that barely helps with the heat.

Our third-floor corner room had a king bed and bunk beds, which the kids liked. It had good ventilation and plenty of natural light, and closing the windows blocked most of the city noise. The hotel felt clean and safe. It's close to the Zocalo and nearby attractions. We arrived around 2 pm, when the market was bustling, and it took me a moment to adjust to the culture shock. We stayed two nights, and I recommend this simple, pleasant hotel for its very affordable rates.

I stayed four nights during F1 in late October. The rooftop patio was a nice spot for a drink, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and trustworthy. I left money out for five days and none was missing. There's no restaurant or air conditioning, which didn't bother me, but bring earplugs if you sleep with the window open. CDMX is noisy around the clock. There's no safe in the room, though the office has one. The hotel was very clean and well run, and being near the Zocalo, the center of the (Aztec) universe, gets it a 10/10 for location. No regrets, and thanks for the hospitality!

A good spot for walking around, and they let me check in late. It was a little hard to find at night. My private room was fairly spacious, with a large bed. The shower was decent and nice and warm, and there were lots of outlets, including some with USB ports built into the wall.
