Getting around town mostly means taking Uber, and it felt like bumper cars at a cheap carnival. The front desk staff spoke very little English, so if you’re not local, good luck. The rooms also had neither bottled water nor a fridge for cold drinks. If you want to stay downtown, the location works, but I’d hoped for a great visit and so far it’s been mediocre.

There was too much noise from the surrounding area, so this isn’t a good pick if you want to relax. I paid a higher rate for a room but was given a cheaper one, and they didn’t refund the difference. The place felt too exposed to outside disturbances for me to recommend it.

I arrived at the hotel last night to find out that my reservation for six nights, made in February and confirmed with a credit card, had been canceled. The desk clerks smirked and said notice had been sent an hour earlier while I was on the plane. The translated email gave no reason beyond lack of availability, and said they would help find another room, but they refused to help. Then they claimed I hadn’t put a credit card on the reservation, even though I showed them the confirmation notice. As an elderly woman visiting Mexico City for the first time, I found the late-night situation and the hotel’s lack of consideration very stressful. The only room I could find cost about five times what my Fiesta reservation had, putting me in debt.

The staff were nice, though slow, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or return. It’s very outdated, the linens are old, and the shower pressure was so weak I’m not sure how we got clean. The restaurant food was cold and tasteless, and the coffee was cold too.
