The neighborhood is a bit of a party area, and you have to walk a few blocks to find a restaurant where you can talk over dinner. Public transit is nearby, which is handy. Our room was basic and could use a little TLC, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The main floor was just as gorgeous as it looked in the photos, which I expected to be disappointed by. I gave it four stars for the fascinating historical displays around the first floor.

Staying in this gorgeous historic hotel feels like being in a Hollywood movie, without the cost. The restaurants on site are convenient if you don't feel like going out in the evening. It's close enough to walk to Chapultepec, while staying outside the congestion around it.

Good afternoon! My wife and I stayed at the hotel from April 2-12, and I wanted to get back in touch to praise the staff for a wonderful stay. Everyone was attentive from check-in, when they washed our hands and rang the bell, through the service in the lobby, bar, and restaurant. Not a single complaint. My wife was treated like royalty, and I really appreciate the care she received. We often travel to DF and usually stay at the Marriott in Polanco, but after this experience we'll come back to the Geneve. All the best! Robert S.

It feels like a bargain and a five-star stay at the same time. This classic, inspiring hotel is right in the middle of everything, with superb service, a kind staff, and plenty of character. It's a bit dated throughout, but that's part of the fun. Unbelievable value!
