Frida Boutique Stays by Viadora

We liked a lot about this place, especially the location, the staff, and the nearby amenities. Hector and his colleagues, who guard the gated community, made us feel especially grateful for their presence. Still, at this price I wouldn't return unless some things have improved. We may check again before our next trip to Mexico City, and wish everyone well. The biggest letdown was the rooftop patio being closed for construction. We chose Frida Boutique largely for that, and wouldn’t have booked if we’d known. Martha offered access to rooftop patios at other properties, but that involved coordinating with more staff, so we passed. Our first-floor apartment had no windows to the outside and felt very dark. The roofless outside room was dark too, and a little creepy to us. The towels and facecloths were old and frayed, and soap wasn't replenished unless we asked at the desk. The cheap coffee maker made mediocre coffee, though there are good coffee shops nearby. The minibar was overpriced in US currency, while the Oxxo less than a block away sold the same things for much less. Martha and the rest of the staff were gracious. It's a decent place to stay in Mexico City, but those issues made the price hard to justify for us.

The quiet street made for a great night's sleep, and the beds were super comfortable. Inside, the place was larger than I expected, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. We were welcomed by Rosalba, who kindly helped with our luggage, handed over the key cards, and took the elevator with us to the fourth floor, which goes straight to the room. She was also very attentive and sweet when we opted to have the place cleaned during our stay. It's tucked away on a private street with a guard at the entrance, a real hidden gem. I'd happily recommend it and stay again.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the apartment was spotless, the cleanest hotel or apartment I've stayed in. It was also bigger than I expected and easily fit my family of five.

We woke up to fresh fruit and pastries, a really thoughtful extra, and the staff were warm and ready to help. The place felt secure too, with guards on both the street and at the facility, even though the area itself seemed very safe. Felina and a few other little bars are around the corner, and we could walk everywhere. My girlfriend and I stayed in a spacious two-bedroom apartment with comfortable beds and everything we needed to relax. The location on a quiet private street made it a lovely retreat after a day out. It was a cozy, peaceful stay, and I'd recommend it.
