The cold temperature and unreliable hot water made the stay uncomfortable. We were given extra blankets, but that felt like a temporary patch instead of fixing how cold the hostel was. I let the water run for about five minutes as instructed, and it never got close to lukewarm. With roughly 12-14 guests and only two fully working bathrooms, sharing two showers with about 11 other people quickly became inconvenient. There's another bathroom on the first floor, but it has no shower and doesn't really ease the congestion. I was honestly surprised by the high rating after this experience. The place has potential, but the basic facilities and comfort need attention. Do yourself a favor and AVOID it. There are better places to stay.

We stayed in a private room with its own bathroom, and it was great. It had an A/C unit, and although the bathroom was small, it had what we needed. The hostel was quaint and quiet, with smooth check-in and checkout through Hostelworld. It's in a really nice neighborhood, close to lots of fun restaurants and cafes and the massive park. I'd absolutely recommend it.

The calm, laid-back feel was exactly what I wanted after days out in the city. It isn't a party hostel, though I still got chatting with some fun people in my dorm. The rooftop was a lovely place to spend time, and the staff were so friendly. I think one receptionist was called Liliana, sorry if I have that wrong. A little Spanish seemed appreciated. I stayed in the Frida Kahlo room for about 10 days, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. I slept really well. The whole place, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces, looked freshly cleaned every day, sometimes more than once. The building has charm, too, even if its age comes with a few quirks. There are just three toilets and two showers for everyone. I usually only waited a few minutes for a toilet, but a shower wait could reach 30 minutes or more. The shower temperature was unpredictable, from lukewarm to painfully hot, depending on the time and how recently someone else had used it. Condesa is a great base. This part of the neighborhood is quieter than some others, though it's not silent, and I used earplugs every night because I'm used to a very quiet home. Parque Espana and Parque México are about a 15-20 minute walk away, with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby and a convenience store about five minutes away. I really liked having such a peaceful place to come back to, and recommend it for the location, comfort, cleanliness, and mellow atmosphere.

Getting around was easy from here. It's a safe area with an easy walk to the metro and, a bit farther, the metrobus. I'd come back. My bed, room, bathroom, and the towel they gave me were all spotless. No bugs or odd smells, and I slept really well in the female-only room. Thanks!

We stayed here seven months ago at the start of our Latin America trip, and after visiting 11 countries in the region, it was the most disappointing hostel for us. The neighborhood is nice, but the place felt way overpriced for what it was. Our first-floor private room had only a thin wall between it and the living area, so it never felt separate. There was a large hole where the downstairs toilet window should have been, with no glass, and using it felt like sitting beside people on the sofa. We reported the upstairs bathroom door problem for three days. Then it came off its hinges and fell onto me, and guests had to keep balancing it. Toilet paper was often missing, and the bathroom was frequently occupied since all guests shared it and its only shower.
