This feels more like a basic budget place than a backpackers hostel. The staff were friendly, though you'll need some Spanish. The beds were basic and seemed clean, but after using a blanket I got several bed bug bites. The sockets by the bed didn't work, so I couldn't charge anything in the room. There were lots of random people sleeping on the couches outside, including the police, funnily enough. I guess the place is well guarded. During the two days and nights I stayed, the bathroom wasn't cleaned once. It's cheap, but I'd avoid it.

The location is good for getting around, and it feels very safe. That's the one good thing for me. For the price, I don't think it's worth it. Pay $1500 more and you could get a Fiesta Inn or Hotel Uno, or choose a cheaper place with everything you need apart from the location. There's no hot water in the bathroom and no Wi-Fi in the rooms. The common areas and space outside the rooms were very messy, with cigarette butts and lots of litter guests had left behind. They should clean it up.
