We had a mixed week at Mr W Tonalá in CDMX. The location is great, the rooftop looks beautiful just like the photos, the room was as expected, and the staff were kind and helpful. The rooftop pool, though, was dirty and never cleaned during our stay despite several requests, so it couldn't be used. The free laundry room was a nice perk, but only open after 6 p.m. Every morning the sinks smelled strongly of sewer until we ran water in them. The master bedroom shower had no hot water, and it took three days to fix. Getting clean towels meant taking the old ones downstairs, and no extras were available. We also had to take out our own trash. That might have been manageable, but the bin was tiny and we were given only one bag at a time for the whole week. At checkout, staff were willing to let us leave at noon, but management wouldn't allow it. The staff were great, while management's strict rules made things harder than necessary. For this price, we expected a smoother, more comfortable stay. In hindsight, we should have booked a nicer hotel with fewer restrictions and better upkeep.

The noise at night made it hard to sleep, and there were bugs in our room. We asked for cleaning, but nobody came during our three-night stay. The refrigerator was broken; although we told the staff, it was never fixed and they didn't offer us another room. We were really disappointed with Mr. W Tonalá and expected much better for the price. We wouldn't stay again.

We had a wonderful stay from August 15th to 22nd. The apartment was clean, spacious, outstanding, and well maintained. Paulina was fantastic throughout, always available and helpful, and made sure we had what we needed. When my luggage was delayed, she promptly arranged for it to be safely delivered to me. The rooftop terrace was a highlight, a great place to relax and enjoy the view. Having a store across the street and a pharmacy just around the corner made quick errands easy. I'd highly recommend this place for a comfortable, stress-free stay with top-notch service. Thanks again to Paulina for making our vacation so enjoyable!

We really liked how much space there was, the lovely decor, and especially the comfortable beds. There are loads of good cafés, bars, and restaurants just nearby, so the location made things easy. Getting into the apartment with a code worked fine. For the building entrance, though, you have to ring and wait for the doorman to let you in, which was a bit inconvenient when we were in a hurry. The shower took some experimenting each time before I got the hot water right. Laundry is shared with housekeeping and only available after 6 PM. The staff were kind and went well beyond what I expected when I was sick for a couple of days. They helped me find a doctor and arranged for prescriptions to be delivered to the apartment. I didn't get to use the rooftop because the weather wasn't great, but I had a very good stay and would happily come back and recommend it.

We arrived to find dirty towels, and the staff said they had no clean ones to give us. Then we went two days without hot water. There was no help from the onsite staff, and no one answered when we called or messaged the manager's number. Extremely disappointing.
