Pepe, Pablo, and Esteban made the stay especially lovely, with thoughtful suggestions for restaurants, shopping, and tucked-away spots around the city. The service was personal and polished without feeling overdone. Mornings brought coffee, fresh juice, and pastries. The hotel is beautifully designed, intimate, and chic, and the photos match what you find in person. Every detail felt considered, from the scent and lovely linens to the calm atmosphere. After long days out, coming back to wine and tequila for guests and a wonderfully comfortable bed made for some of the best sleep of the trip. A special stay in a very walkable neighborhood.

Octavia Casa is a lovely, clean boutique hotel on a quiet street in Condesa. We stayed in the Lino room, which felt cozy and inviting. The staff were warm and glad to answer our questions, and the neighborhood guide had great recommendations that matched the tips we heard from locals. A real gem!

Pablo, Pepe, and Esteban were incredibly helpful and quick to respond. Before we arrived, they answered lots of emails and messages across different platforms, helped plan our time, connected us with excellent tour guides, and booked restaurants. During the stay, they checked in every day to see if we wanted help or ideas. We felt looked after, while the hotel still felt private and romantic. We stayed four nights in a junior suite, with plenty of space and several places to sit. It was lovely to rest there in the afternoons or have morning coffee from the Nespresso machine and frother with fresh milk. I also enjoyed reading on the roof deck and having breakfast downstairs. The decor is gorgeous, the atmosphere peaceful, and the room so comfortable that I realized I need a new mattress at home. From the moment we walked in, the small boutique hotel felt like a calm oasis in a vibrant city.

The bed caused so much neck and shoulder pain that I ended up sleeping on towels and had to seek medical care during the trip. The manager tested the mattress during our stay and acknowledged the problem, and we were told someone would follow up. That never happened. Later, the hotel called it a matter of preference and offered only a 10% refund, with no further discussion. We chose Octavia Casa for its design and location, expecting comfort to match the price. The property is visually appealing, but the stay didn’t meet that standard. The experience raises concerns about checking essential items like bedding, responding when guests report a problem, and taking responsibility when it has a real impact. I rarely write negative reviews, but future guests should consider whether the design alone makes the experience worthwhile.
