Hotel Punto MX

The team were great at everything, from keeping the rooms clean to looking after guests. The buffet was excellent, and the bathroom had everything I needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the hotel itself was extremely clean. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

Breakfast was okay, with Mexican dishes, a few sweets, fruit, cereal, yogurt, juices, tea, coffee, and eggs or quesadillas made to order. The location felt safe, with cafes, restaurants, and taquerias nearby. Zocalo and Bellas Arte are close, perhaps a 10-minute walk or 25 minutes depending on the route. The staff were polite, and the fourth-floor rooms were spacious and clean. The bed was large and comfortable, the washroom was roomy and clean, and they supplied enough toiletries. I did miss having a mini fridge, since it’s handy for food you buy. I’d recommend the hotel.

The housekeeping team were a delight, friendly and accommodating, while the front desk staff were pretty direct. Our Junior Suite was a comfortable size and quiet from the street, though we heard noise when staff set up and took down the dining service. The rooms were very clean. The location worked perfectly for us as first-time visitors looking to stay in central Mexico City. I hadn’t realized there was a roof deck, but maybe that’s on me.

We had a spacious, fairly clean, bright King-Size Suite in a good spot for exploring the city center, with cable TV but no smart TV. The rest of the stay was a mess, mostly because of the awful service. Staff were unfriendly, inefficient, and dismissive when we reported problems. Wi-Fi didn’t work for our entire stay, so we had to use mobile data for work meetings. The mini-fridge was warm instead of cooling; staff said they knew and couldn’t do anything, so we asked for a bucket of ice ourselves. Breakfast was another confusion: our reservation said it was included, and the person at check-in confirmed the time, but the breakfast staff the next morning said it was only “a possibility” because it wasn’t on their menu or in the system. The hotel has potential, but with the Wi-Fi and fridge left unfixed and that customer service, I wouldn’t return or recommend it. The staff and service spoiled what could have been a very good stay.
