Sheraton Maria Isabel Mexico City Reforma

The location is the big draw. Being next to the Embassy of the United States made the area feel safe, and staying on Reforma Rd. was convenient. The room was cleaned well, and the old-fashioned bathroom was well maintained. I added breakfast, which was clean and came with lots of fruit. I left satisfied and plan to visit again.

The common areas looked good, the staff were wonderful, and our bed was comfortable during our eight-night stay. Room 1657 was very clean but worn out, with a look from che 70s. It seems some rooms in the other building have been renovated, but the ones in the back building haven't. The location was excellent. At breakfast, the waiters and waitresses Bryan, Itzel and Guillermo gave great service. Fernando Facio also served us at dinner and at the Jorongo bar. I can't remember the bell man's name, but he was a nice guy!

A convenience store in the parking garage, a pharmacy, and several restaurants are all on the same block, with plenty more just a short walk away. The location is fantastic, right by the angel of independence, where two tour bus operators stop, making it easy to hop on and off. If you like walking, museums are 30-45 minutes to the west and the historic center is 30-45 minutes to the east.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean, which mattered most to me. The room felt a little cramped, perhaps because it had two queen beds, and the lighting was weak. No matter how I tried, the blackout curtains wouldn't fully overlap. I was told at check-in that my room was a free upgrade, apparently in the main tower. The lobby looked like a 5 ⭐ hotel, but the room felt 4 ⭐ at most. I stayed only one night, so I didn't check out the rest of the hotel. The location seemed pretty good, and I appreciated getting a late checkout at 2pm.
