We stayed here for six nights during the last week of October, and problems started on arrival. Although they’d sent us a confirmation number, security couldn’t find our Airbnb reservation, even after we showed it to them. They kept us outside the gate for over an hour. There were only two towels for the whole stay. When I asked for fresh ones, the woman in charge kept saying she didn’t have the keys to the towel room, so we used the same damp towel for six days. They also charge for toilet paper. There was hair on the shower floor, and noise from the nearby main street came straight through, as the windows didn’t seem soundproof. Never coming back.

Awesome!

The shared areas already make leaving the building unpleasant, with the odor of dog waste and urine. In Building A, we pay recurring “extraordinary” charges for elevator repairs, yet at least once a month only one lift is working. That can mean leaving home 20 minutes early to wait or taking the stairs, which is especially rough on higher floors. Security also leaves a lot to be desired: cars get damaged, things go missing from storage, packages are lost, and nobody accepts responsibility. Maintenance fees are already as high as in Santa Fe, on top of those supposedly extraordinary monthly fees. Anyone thinking of buying or renting should protect their investment and keep their money away from this “residential” complex.

I wish someone had warned me sooner. There have been water shortages when deliveries didn't arrive, and the one tower with a water connection can't even get enough for itself. Towers A, B, and C also seem to have broken elevators all the time. Security is awful, and whenever something happens they dismiss it as “internal security.” They call the complex pet-friendly, but dogs are only allowed in certain spots, and the pet area is a disease risk for them. People in Tower A also have to deal with the smell coming from that area. Don't be taken in by salespeople or real estate agents. This isn't a good place to invest.

There's no store or restaurant, and I doubt there ever will be when the towers can't agree on anything. The pool is deteriorating, the jacuzzis are out of order, the showers have no hot water, and the dog park is a mess. The payment plan sounds appealing, but then they bill you extra for old debts from previous administrations, broken amenities, and structural repairs tied to poor construction. If you're on a rent-to-own agreement, you don't get a vote at assemblies, yet still have to pay those charges whether you eventually buy or not. Tower F is nearly new, but we're being charged another 20,000 pesos for waterproofing, which isn't covered by maintenance. There are leaks and other defects all over. Electricity and water aren't individually metered, so the costs are split evenly whether or not you use the property. We don't have a water connection because there's no infrastructure linking to SeGiagua, so tanker trucks will always be needed. Electricity has the same kind of issue, a single commercial transformer serving high demand, with no power split. I'm extremely disappointed. Seriously, save yourself the trouble and don't believe the salespeople. I fell for it, and it's been a nightmare.
