Suites Coben Apartamentos Amueblados

The location is the one thing this place has going for it. The rooms weren’t comfortable and had a strange smell. The checkout was awful. Security actually locked the front door and wouldn’t let me leave or contact my Uber until the room had been inspected. The driver was illegally parked on the avenue. I’d told the front desk the night before that I had a very early flight, but nobody mentioned that I’d need to check out a few minutes before my pickup so they could inspect the room.

It’s clean and quiet, and the staff are very friendly. The hotel sits right on Metrobus 1, so it’s a quick ride to UNAM or up to Roma.

Whenever I’m in Mexico City, I stay at Suites Coben hotel. The staff are friendly and speak English. Rooms are large and comfortable, with full kitchens, very big beds, and desks with electronic outlets that make working easy. Breakfast is free in the mornings. I like that it’s in the Alvaro Obregon Colonia, within walking distance of the historic centers of Coyoacán and San Angel, as well as at least five modern shopping malls. The neighborhood is upscale and has an “old money” feel that seems more Mexican than the “new money” areas that feel American. West-facing windows look out over a dramatic, unobstructed view of Coyoacán, including the tallest building in Mexico City. For the price, I think it’s the best place to stay in Mexico City. Just keep in mind it’s far from the historical zocolo, so you’d need a taxi to get there.

We had a nice stay, and the staff were very helpful, going above and beyond.
