Sleep Inn Monclova

We'd stayed here on an earlier trip, but I won't come back after this. The room was unlocked, and there were no towels, cups, glasses, or coffee grounds for the coffee maker. The internet password on our key was for a different section of the hotel. There was mold in the bathroom grout, the wardrobe drawers stuck out into the room and wouldn't stay shut, and the window handle was broken. The worst part was finding clear, gooey stuff on one bed's sheet when I got in. We were too tired and it was too late to pack up and move, but now we know why the room was in that condition. Never again.

The hotel could use some updating, but it was clean. My family and I stayed for one night, and the employees were so nice and made us feel at home. It was the best experience.

We spent two nights with just two towels, and never got fresh ones. There weren't any bath towels to use while showering, either. The toilet didn't work properly, the sheets looked like they had dried blood stains, and although there was a coffee maker in the room, there were no coffee grounds.

The security person was so nice and made the place feel safe. I left belongings in the back of my truck and had no issues. The night front desk person was a bit rude, but the service was great overall. I'd definitely stay again if I were in the area.
