Hotel Plaza del Arco

The elevator was out of order, there was no Wi-Fi, and the staff were very rude. We paid for a third person in a double room but couldn’t get a third towel. There were no fridges or microwaves, and the three-room suite I paid for wasn’t there. At first they said they hadn’t received my reservation, then told me I’d booked the wrong room. They were right about that, but the room I wanted had only one bed, not two, so that wouldn’t have worked either. Breakfast was advertised at 14 pesos per person and the food was good, though there wasn’t much. I watched three other tables eat and leave without paying. Before I went back to my room I asked the front door man where to pay. He said I could pay him, first asked for 25 pesos, then shrugged and said 20 when I questioned the 14 peso price. Six pesos isn’t much, but the dishonesty really irritated me. Every morning they also call at 8am to ask if you’re checking out, even though checkout is at 12 noon. Tourists should beware. I saw and experienced staff trying to take advantage of people.
