Pórtico Hotel & Galería

The location is excellent, with lots of restaurants around and easy public transit. Rooms are simple, rustic, and quaint, with local art throughout the hotel that you can buy. They also sell souvenirs made by local artists for less than you'll find elsewhere. Rooms are upstairs on the second floor, and there's no elevator because they need to preserve the building's original architecture. One downside: we had to run the water for more than 5 minutes before it got hot. You use a regular house key to enter your room, not an e-card. We'll be back!

I enjoyed staying here. It's on a quiet side street about a 15-minute walk from the center square and cathedral. Our room was clean and had a historic feel, and the service was lovely. Erandi at the front desk was especially friendly and helpful. Thanks to Karina, Vhon, Angie, Rocio, Lulu, Jacobo, Ruben, and Carmen for making the stay so enjoyable.

The hotel has a small gallery and art on all the walls. Breakfast, made by Mauricio and Rocio, was really good, with fruit and coffee along with a nice meal, and it was always included. Angie and Erandi at reception were consistently helpful, and our room was always cleaned. We left Lulu, our maid, a good tip. Thanks as well to Karina, Vhon, Jacobo, Ruben, and Diego for the warm welcome.

We had a great time at this sweet little hotel in Morelia's historic center, about a 10-15 minute walk from the cathedral. The room was lovely and kept some original features of the building, and breakfast was included. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Thanks, Kary, Erandi, Lulu, Rocio, Rulcein, Uhon, and Jacobo 🙏🏽. I'll definitely return to Pórtico Hotel Cultural.
