The location is great, and the woman who checked us in was friendly and attentive. The other receptionist was kind too. We only needed a bed for a quick rest before leaving for our destination at 6 a.m. The room was covered in black mold, though, and a frightening incident overnight made us leave. Around 1:25 a.m., a man knocked loudly and yelled. We woke up unsure whether he was at our door or the next one, so we stayed quiet and waited since we weren’t expecting anyone. We heard two men talking, but couldn’t make out what they said, then keys rattling as someone tried to unlock a door. Each room has an outer metal door and an inner wooden one, so it wasn’t easy to tell if they were at ours. It kept going, and since there was no phone in our room, we asked the person who booked it to call reception. It turned out a drunk man was trying to get into the next room because his partner, who had the key, hadn’t arrived. The receptionist gave him the keys, and he struggled for a while before the receptionist came to help. The receptionist argued with our contact and hung up, then came over and argued with us. We packed and left. He didn’t apologize, just took our keys and seemed annoyed we’d interrupted him while he was looking at his phone.
