Ocean Terrace

We loved how quiet this Ocean Terrace condo was. It’s in the smaller tower, with only two units per floor, and the unit itself is very spacious and nicely furnished. The deck wraps all the way around, with spectacular sunset views. On three different occasions, we spotted pods of whales passing by. The kitchen had everything we could need to cook for a large group, and the condo was in good shape. Both pools were lovely and heated. We could always find a lounger and umbrella on the pool deck or under a beach palapa. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the beach is especially nice for walks at low tide. The area right around the condo is quiet, though there are lots of activities further down the beach. There’s a turtle sanctuary on the property, and we watched baby turtles being released at sunset five days a week. Guido’s next door is a very good restaurant, with other good places within walking distance. Paradise mall and its good-sized grocery store are a short walk away, and Walmart mall is a short taxi ride. The Ocean Terrace staff were wonderful. The security staff always greeted us with big smiles and were happy to call a cab. Dorice was helpful and replied quickly whenever we had questions. The one drawback was construction next door. Dorice had told us about it beforehand, so it didn’t catch us by surprise. Work began at 8:00 am and stopped just before sunset. I mostly got used to the noise, though the jackhammer bothered me. We could go somewhere offsite on those days. They finish early on Saturdays and don’t work Sundays. We stayed a month in Ocean Terrace # 3502C, from January 8 - February 5, 2019. If I return to the area, I’d want to stay in this condo again, and I’d recommend it to others. Five stars!
