We spent four nights at Casa Carmen and had everything we needed in this lovely little hotel. Breakfasts were delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind. Our room was clean, with a large bed, nice bedding, a big TV, complimentary coffee and water, and gorgeous bathroom products. Centro is an easy five minute walk away, with cafes, restaurants, museums, and the central cathedral. Highly recommend! Muchos Gracias.

The room was comfortable, though the mattress was a bit firm, and the included breakfast was excellent, with about a dozen delicious options. A few English TV channels were available. The pod coffee maker was awkwardly placed on a shelf, hard to reach and see, and only made espresso sized servings, though the kitchen could prepare larger coffees in the morning. We stayed five nights at Casa Carmen Reforma, right in Centro and an easy walk from the restaurants, bars, museums, and sights we wanted. We got there around 10:30am on the first day, well before the 3pm check-in, but they let us leave our bags and explore while the room was prepared. We booked the Amador room, one of just four in this small boutique hotel. Each room has its own design, and ours had a small outdoor courtyard with a wall of fence-post cacti. The bathroom had striking tiles from floor to ceiling in a mix of patterns. Light sleepers should know about the noise. A wedding at the event venue next door kept music going until about 3am on our first night, a Saturday. The following night there was loud music from somewhere nearby until around 3am too, but the rest of the nights were much quieter. One annoyance was that the front door stays locked and guests don't get a key. We had to ring the bell to get in, and several times it took multiple rings and knocks and a few minutes before anyone answered. The place is charming and beautifully designed, and the staff were friendly and warm.

We could walk everywhere from this beautifully curated little boutique hotel, and we absolutely loved Oaxaca. The Casa Carmen has only four rooms. Ours was on the ground floor, with a big, comfortable bed and plenty of storage for our four nights. My favorite part was the bathroom, with its walk-in shower, funky tiles, and high ceiling. The staff were wonderful and always ready to help. Breakfast was delicious, with fruit bowls and omelettes, just what we needed to start the day. A complete joy. Thanks to Luz & Diana for being so welcoming and helpful.

The staff were friendly and the hotel was good. Breakfast was a bit limited, but fine for a short stay. The trouble was the loud music from the adjoining building that kept going until 1am. We had to hire a car before 9am, so I wasn't impressed. 🥴👍

Beautiful art and sculptures are displayed throughout the place. I enjoyed my stay, with great service, breakfast every morning, and daily room cleaning.
