Casa Gecko was a lucky find, and I ended up staying almost two months. Deni and Alejandro were incredibly friendly and quick to handle anything I asked for. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable, and well appointed for the price. I'd highly recommend it for affordable, comfortable accommodation in a good location in Ciudad de Oaxaca.

I stayed for over a month because I liked it so much. I live in Puerto Escondido now, but it's reassuring to have a comfortable place to return to whenever I'm in Oaxaca City. The staff were kind, attentive, and very helpful, including with suggestions for exploring the city. Can't wait to go back!

The kitchen was easy to cook in, the place was clean, and they even provided water, which was really nice. The water pressure and temperature were good too. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Centro. The staff were extremely helpful, and the owners were so nice that I'd definitely return. Thanks for the hospitality!

The family who owns Casa Gecko is the reason we'd return in a heartbeat. They're kind, helpful, and extremely responsive. Mr. Alejandro also showed us around Oaxaca as an excellent tour guide. My partner and I stayed for three months in a quiet, residential, safe neighborhood about a 15 minute walk from the city center. The beds were comfortable, the shower had hot water and good pressure, and the kitchen was well set up with a small fridge, hot plate, and coffee maker. We couldn't have been happier and hope to come back someday!

It's a small, cozy place where you feel at home right away. Casa Gecko is clean, family owned, and the owners are really nice and helpful. There's a shared kitchen on each floor, and the city center attractions are within walking distance. Public transport is nearby too. Definitely five stars :-) .
