The location and Frida’s very kind service are the only reasons for the one star. We stayed during dia de muertos because everything else was full or expensive. You can get by if you have no other option, but I’d recommend avoiding it. The facilities were terrible: our sheets were dirty when we arrived, though Frida fixed that after the first night; the toilet barely flushed; and water was often unavailable. The bed was small and hard, the rooms had nothing but a bed, and the lighting was awful. There was lots of noise, no luggage storage, and the service through booking online was very bad. The road is very steep. Some rooms have no windows, though ours did.
