Co404 Oaxaca

The room got pretty cold in December, which was disappointing for the price, and some kitchen things, especially the pans, could use more regular replacement. I also found the community a bit homogeneous and somewhat removed from local life in Oaxaca. More interaction or collaboration with locals could make the place feel more rooted. Still, co404 is thoughtfully laid out and very well kept. It was exceptionally clean, with a good mix of shared space and privacy. The big communal table made conversation feel natural, while there was still room to work or relax on your own. I met some interesting people there too. A solid stay with plenty going for it and room to improve.

Those family dinners, events, and escursions organized by the staff were a huge plus during my two weeks at Co404. It’s right in the heart of Oaxaca, so centro is easy to explore, and Jalatlaco is a short walk away. The staff and volunteers were super organized and happy to accommodate requests. The coworking setup worked well, with strong wifi and call booths. I had an amazing time and would definitely stay again.

I didn’t see a single bug during my two weeks, even though so much of the place is outside. More than that, Co404 made my time in Oaxaca. They bring people together for fun and community, but there’s also room to focus and work. Everyone seems to extend their stay or come back, which says a lot. I can’t wait to check out the other locations.

After a long, stressful trip, I walked in to find 20 amazing people welcoming me to a family dinner. I felt at home right away. I had so much fun living here for 11 days and am already plotting a return. co404 makes a homey community where people feel included. I almost don’t want to comment because I’d like to gatekeep the place so it never changes. Love it, miss it already. Oaxaca was a dream.
