The room was basic but clean and had everything I needed, and the staff were super friendly. The location is just perfect. But people were talking and laughing loudly in the garden all night, and their voices echoed through the whole hallway, making it impossible to sleep. It felt like trying to sleep at a party. Things quieted down a bit around 11pm, thankfully, but I wish the doors were thicker.

We had a room with two king beds for five nights, and it was easy to walk to all the main downtown sights from here. The street stays busy, so the noise made sleep difficult. Earplugs and a sleep mask helped a lot. The hot water and air conditioning both worked well.

There’s a small courtyard where you can sit with a couple of cervesas, and the laundry service was great. The place has a lot of charm and is right in the center.

There’s a little kitchen space with drinking water, tea, coffee, a fridge, and a microwave, which came in handy. The Happy Express Hotel is also an easy 10-15 minute walk from the main sights. My friend and I had a lovely stay, with hot showers and daily room cleaning and fresh towels. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. Thanks for making our time in Oaxaca comfortable.

Fernando and his team were kind and really reliable. We booked through WhatsApp, and the room was just as he’d promised on the phone. The location was ideal too, just a short walk to Mayordomo Chocolate and La Soledad ice cream. I’d definitely stay here again if I come back to Oaxaca. Thanks for a wonderful visit!
