Hotel Aitana

When my husband lost his phone, the staff worked to get it back from the can company and arranged for a fellow Vancouver guest to bring it to us. They were lovely, and the included breakfast was wonderful, with fresh fruit, three juices, toast, yoghurt, beans, eggs, cereal, tea, and coffee. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is close to restaurants and shops.

Olga at the front office and Yadira in housekeeping and breakfast were fabulous, super attentive to everything we needed. It's a simple, very clean hotel in the area's typical colonial style, centrally located near good places to eat and markets. The building is only two stories, but there's no elevator. Upstairs, the terrace is decorated with native plants and comfortable furniture, a lovely place for fresh air and a drink in the evening. There's no bar at the hotel.

The rooms are basic but clean, and the downtown location is convenient. There's no parking lot, though there are some nearby, so expect an extra fee. During this season you can find lots of events for the yearly Guelaguetza. For the price, it's expensive, especially with no air conditioning or pool.

The room was spotless, with a large bed, and breakfast was included and decent. It got a bit stuffy at night, but the fans made it manageable. Good service and a convenient location near the main squares.
