It was okay, and the location was very good, but there were some really loud noises, sometimes very early in the morning. They may have come from the building next door. I asked about it and got a dot in reply, which wasn’t great 😐

The front desk women were helpful and cool. I stayed a night and a half as a single guy and thought the place was good. The showers worked well and had hot water. It’s near Centro, bars, and restaurants. For a small extra fee, I could check out at 5pm, and they arranged a taxi to the airport.

Good rooms and really good service. There’s a coffee machine and hair dryer in the room. The one thing missing is a mini fridge.

The employees were pretty nice, and the location was the only good part of the stay. I called to reserve a room and was quoted 1300 pesos, but at the hotel they said it would be 1650, 350 pesos more. The rooms were dirty, and I even saw roaches crawling under a mirror. The beds were uncomfortable, and the very dirty, small bathroom didn’t help. A loud bar next door kept us from sleeping.

Hotel Aurora was great overall. I paid 1100 pesos for a room with 2 queen beds. The air conditioning worked well, the water was hot, and it’s in a good spot near the zocolo. The one issue was the shower design. The head couldn’t be adjusted, and at my height it pointed straight at my face. I’m a little taller than the average Oaxaca, so I can imagine they’d have the same problem. It was hard to wash my lower parts. Still, just one downside in an otherwise great stay.
