Boca del Monte by Diablo y la Sandia

The apartment was spotless and had a fully equipped kitchen, plus a comfortable bed. It’s very close to the Santo Domingo church, yet the street is peaceful and quiet despite being so central. My husband and I had an amazing stay. Javi and Fer were friendly, flexible about check-in and check-out, and quick to answer our questions. They were also very attentive and shared recommendations for the area. I highly recommend it. I’ve attached some photos I took!

We slept really well at Estancias del Monte. It’s not one of those noisy downtown places, and the quiet street made it easy to relax after exploring Oaxaca. We stayed three nights, and the place felt cozy, comfortable, clean, and well cared for. The hosts checked in on us, offered suggestions for food and places to visit, and made the stay feel welcoming. There are good food options nearby: El Norteñito is just steps away, with a chile de agua taco that’s a must-try if you like tacos. Around the corner, a local restaurant has a nice evening feel for a date or a light dinner after a day of walking. We could get around on foot without a car, including to Santo Domingo, the tourist walkway, and the market with the famous “hall of smoke.” The street stays calm at night, even though you’re within walking distance of everything. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable spot with an authentic Oaxacan feel. THANK YOU JAVIER AND FER.
