We had no problems during our stay. The room was big and spacious, there was free parking, and the location was good. We didn’t hear street noise, and the staff were helpful and polite. Good value for the price, and I’d recommend staying here.

I felt disrespected as a Mexican guest, and the whole stay was deeply unpleasant. I’d picked this hotel because of the good reviews and regret it. Unless you’re a foreigner with blue eyes and light skin, I’d expect poor treatment. After a car accident, I arrived at 2:00 AM and found the hotel closed, so I had to knock to get in. The front desk man, who wasn’t Mexican, was extremely rude, as if my late arrival was a bother even though I’d already paid. The room was dirty, the beds were rock-hard, and the sheets smelled awful. When I said I was uncomfortable, he told me not to complain and just go to sleep. I checked out only six hours later. They then tried to charge me extra and threatened to call the police if I didn’t pay. As an American, I felt extorted. It seemed to me they were taking advantage of tourists because we’re outside the U.S. I warn travelers, especially Americans, not to trust the good reviews. I found the hotel disrespectful and unclean, and felt they tried to scam me. Stay away.

Hotel Dainzu was a great experience. It’s affordable, has parking included, and is perfectly located for reaching most major attractions. The staff were fantastic. Highly recommend it.

This little hotel is right in the middle of things, with all the sights and sounds within walking distance, yet it was quiet at night. The staff were lovely and kept everything clean. The courtyard was welcoming and comfortable, and the price and location are hard to beat. I’d stay again. The rooms stayed cool enough with the doors propped open, and the beds were comfortable. Hot showers were available when needed, and they provided free bottled water every day. Toiletries were well stocked, towels were fresh daily, and sheets were changed each day. My one issue was the lack of large windows for better airflow.

We left before our stay was over. If we’d known it would be like this, we wouldn’t have chosen it. Being near Zicatela is about the only good thing I can say about this hotel. There’s no A/C, and even with the ceiling fan the rooms got really hot. Outside noise was constant, and at least in the back rooms there was no natural light, which made them feel depressing. The rooms and bathrooms were old, the sheets were old and dirty, and the staff were unpleasant. There were also blockades and demonstrations right outside the entrance. That may only be temporary, but it made the stay even less worthwhile. If all that matters to you is being right in the center...
