The location is good, but the room rate is pricey and there’s no free breakfast. The restaurant food was average, the phone didn’t work, and the room had few amenities, with no refrigerator or microwave. Walk to the central area for good food and shopping.

We stayed here in 2013. It was a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city, and the people were so friendly.

The staff were kind and courteous, which is the only reason I gave this place two stars. The beds were rock hard, and the sheets felt scratchy and smelled of B.O. I have no idea if they’re changed between guests. Sleeping there felt like being in a cardboard box. The facilities look extremely outdated, like they’re from the 70s. The old lighting flickered like a horror movie, and the air conditioner barely worked. This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Please stay anywhere else, any Airbnb has to be better.

Everything in Oaxaca is within walking distance from this hotel, and the neighborhood is friendly. There’s a lovely cafe next door and a park across the street. The place is charming, with modern conveniences and local character. The rooms are nice, it’s very quiet, and the restaurant is excellent.
