We kept getting woken up by the hotel doorbell. Our room was cold and damp, with no window, and there wasn't a bathroom in it. The only option was a shared bathroom that wasn't clean. A pretty sordid place.

I booked this for my aunt's visit to Oaxaca for the Day of the Dead. She was especially glad they had parking, and liked that it was only a few minutes from the center. Her upstairs room was clean and very nice, and she said the staff treated her kindly. It was a great stay for an affordable price. Thanks for taking such good care of her, highly recommended.

Casa Alixel was a great place to come back to after a day exploring Oaxaca. The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet, and the staff were always attentive and friendly. Coffee and tea were available, which made the stay feel even more welcoming. The location is central, though still in a calm area, about a 10-minute drive from the Zócalo. Having parking and a little shop inside was very convenient. I'd definitely recommend it.

The prices were very reasonable, and the service and atmosphere were both excellent. There was hot water and clean towels, plus a kitchen where you could heat up and store food. The location was ideal.
