Hotel escalada - Oax Up Suites

We spent nine days here after Kimkim, which we think is part of Uritopia, booked the hotel for us. When we were dropped off, Escalade didn't know about the reservation and wanted us to pay for the prepaid booking. Unfortunately, nobody there spoke English to sort it out. Our first room was off the busy street, through a security door and up a long, narrow set of steps. There were spiders in the toilet and shower, and the water didn't work in the morning, so we couldn't shower. It was a terrible first night. They then moved us to a new room for the rest of our prepaid stay. The rest of this review is about that replacement room. The hotel is on a very busy street, noisy day and night. The shower water was scalding and couldn't be adjusted. The bathroom soap dispenser leaked all over our toiletries, and the bathroom had been shoddily refurbished with contact paper. There were no amenities such as breakfast or coffee, and no English-speaking staff. I don't recommend it unless you're on a tight budget and get it very cheap.
