Hotel Siglo 17

Oaxaca has a special magic, and this beautiful, clean, welcoming hotel made our visit even better. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always smiling and ready to help. Every detail made us feel at home. Thank you, Adriana, for the extra help. Highly recommend.

The staff were very friendly, and the location was pretty good. The courtyard was nice, too. But the room felt like a 2-3 star place, with no taste in the decor. The bed was smaller, and the “room with view of courtyard” wasn't shown accurately. Opening the shutters onto the garden meant other guests walking past could see in, which made the room feel dark. There was no blow drier in the bathroom, and the towels, sheets, and blankets were in mediocre, older condition. Funky!

This is my first time in Oaxaca, here with my family, and the hotel feels like home. The location is amazing: we can walk to every major point of interest, the markets, restaurants, and museums. The service is extraordinary. I highly recommend Siglo XVII if you're looking for a great experience in Oaxaca.

The location made it easy to walk to restaurants, galleries, el centro, street vendors, and markets. The courtyard garden is gorgeous, and every room faces it, with a table and chairs outside. Our room had air conditioning and was a very comfortable place to sleep. The shower was large, the water hot, and everything clean and pleasant. The restaurant serves delicious meals, with respectful, kind, efficient waiters and cooks. And the coffee there is the best you'll find. Adrianna, Liz, Paola, and the rest of the staff were delightful and went to great lengths to make our stay enjoyable. It's a quiet, clean, pleasant hotel, and I can't imagine a better place to stay in Oaxaca. We'll definitely be back.
