Hotel Marques del Valle

Right in front of the zocolo, the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the staff are amazing.

I like that someone is always at reception, and the two elevators are great. The rooms and bathrooms are a good size with enough places for your things, and the blackout curtains worked well. My shower was great too. I've stayed here before and would come back, though there are a few flaws. The mattress protector was so uncomfortable that I asked the cleaning lady to take it off. Noise can also be an issue because the room door doesn't block sound: reception noise at night, phones in nearby rooms, doors slamming, and people talking in the hall before 6am. Breakfast room noise gets especially bad when a tour group is staying, since it's on the 1st floor. The music in the Zocalo stops at 10pm, so that never bothered me.

Renovations are going on, so it's very noisy right now. The rooms feel dated and are fine for one night, but staying longer on that bed would give you back problems.

There's always a party going on, but the windows block the sound really well, and the room was spacious and quiet. The staff were super friendly, and they offer free parking and valet parking. Great hotel in front of the zocalo. I'd definitely stay again.
