Mision Oaxaca

The restaurant serves a large selection of really good dishes, and the hotel and rooms are beautiful. Service is excellent and friendly. There isn't an elevator, but the floors are low, and staff help carry suitcases, so it wasn't a big problem. I recommend this hotel.

It's a comfortable place in a relatively quiet residential neighborhood. A little far from the city center, but the hotel runs a regular shuttle into town. The rooms are clean and the property is well maintained. The restaurant and bar are quite good, and there's a lovely pool and garden to relax in. I'd stay here again.

The restaurant is great, with a good buffet every morning. The hotel and rooms are clean, the beds are good, and the white sheets and comforters are lovely. Staff are friendly too. The old carpet in the rooms and hallways stands out, and getting around is inconvenient: it's a three-story building with no elevator or small ramp by the stairs for rolling a suitcase.

We paid far too much for a dirty room. I'd have been okay paying around 400 Pesos a night, which is what the place deserves, but not more. The toilet paper had someone else's poo on it, so it was unusable and we felt disgusted. The floor was dirty, the shower smelled bad when used, and the bedding didn't seem clean. We were uncomfortable sleeping there. The included breakfast was a joke: two pieces of fruit, coffee that tasted like dirty water, sweet dessert pretending to be bread that wasn't good, and eggs with no salt or pepper and mole. I thought eggs couldn't be messed up, but apparently they can 😅. We reported all of it and they wouldn't refund us. Instead, they gave us their best room, a suite, which didn't look much better, though at least they tried. I wouldn't spend another cent there, never in my life again!
