The location is great, but the stay was average and booking was nothing but difficult. When a medical issue forced me to leave three nights early because I couldn’t breathe, they refused to refund my $900. The restaurant wasn’t good, and there was nowhere comfortable to sit. I couldn’t even have breakfast because a private event was going on. I don’t recommend it.

Our group booked more than 15 rooms, with stays ranging from 4-10 days. Some guests were charged extra for electricity because they used hair dryers, which is not something I’d expect. The customer service was poor.

I spent two weeks here and found the staff friendly and attentive. Housekeeping did a great job, and the restaurant was excellent, with a patio overlooking the mountains. The chef accommodated my request, and there are plenty of other places to eat nearby. The street is quiet and feels secure, right in el centro.

I felt unsafe and completely dismissed here, and I eventually moved to another hotel. The morning of Oct 18, money went missing from my room. I didn’t report it then. That evening, someone entered my room again, and I reported that break-in. I’m 100% sure they had a key, took money, and came back for more. After I noticed the missing cash that morning, I took pictures of how I’d left my belongings. I had over $3000 dlls with me and was afraid to say that publicly. I asked Adriana to come to my room so we could discuss it privately, but she refused. I was alone, scared, and she didn’t seem to care. Adriana implied I was lying. She offered to call a technician to check the security cameras, but said I’d have to pay for it. Then she told me stories about other guests who had supposedly made up break-ins and about the hotel thinking of pressing charges. It felt like a threat. She was sure no one had entered my room even though she hadn’t seen proof. The technician couldn’t come until the next day. My understanding is that he gave Adriana access to the recordings, and she said she was checking the time I’d given her when I went to check out. By then, I was too uncomfortable to stay there with her and the other man working that night, who seemed nervous and wasn’t helpful. I wish I’d called the police, but I was flying home the next day and was afraid I’d have to disclose how much cash I had. Adriana said she’d email me the video, but I still haven’t received it. I told her she had my contact information from the reservation, and nobody followed up. I don’t care about the money as much as the way they took my safety concerns lightly. I’m still waiting for the camera footage she insisted would show nobody broke in. I hope the owner reaches out so I can explain this in detail. If the owner has already heard about it, they need to hear both sides. The woman said she wasn’t the manager, but she was “in charge” at the time. Adriana shouldn’t be working in hospitality. She lacks people skills and professionalism. The gentleman at the front desk when I arrived on the 17th was very nice and helpful, unlike the rest of the staff. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are good, but I could never stay here again. Safety is a must, and I didn’t feel safe.

It’s so quiet here. Mostly you hear a breeze in the plants or a bird nearby, with only the occasional muffled voices passing through. I actually slept, which says a lot when you’re traveling with a toddler. The hotel feels welcoming, with warm colors, nice architecture, and lovely ironwork candelabras in the rooms. You can open the windows for a breeze or close them partway overnight. Poli at the front desk was kind and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. I’d give the place five stars if the shower were fixed. The bathroom tiles and layout are comfortable, but the shower head sprays in every direction and makes it almost impossible to wash your hair. It seems like even a $200mxn upgrade per room from Chedraui could solve it. I’d stay again, but I’ll bring white vinegar and see if soaking the shower head helps.
